Sermon 34: The Assurance of God's Mighty, Preserving Presence

God's mighty, preserving presence was powerfully demonstrated through the parting of the Red Sea, which not only brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, but also brought the final judgment against their enemies. It is no wonder why Exodus 15 records a great song of rejoicing in God’s mighty, personal presence with Israel. Before we get to Exodus 15, however, we have to recognize that Exodus 12-14 records for us how God’s mighty, preserving presence was with His people as they experienced the final plague against Egypt, the journey to and through the Red Sea, and the early establishing of the nation that Israel was meant to become.

These chapters serve to remind us that God wants us to rejoice in the assurance of His mighty, preserving presence in the lives of His people, namely believers.
