Ministry Team

We know looking for a new church family can be intimidating, whether you are new to our area or seeking to get reconnected in a gospel-centered church.  My wife and I met while finishing up postgraduate studies in Florida, and in the fall of 2008, came on staff at Anchor to get practical ministry experience preaparing to go into missions. After two years, we were sent out from Anchor as church planting missionaries, where we worked with the Anchor Baptist Church in Cape Coast, Ghana, from an infant church plant to an independent, locally pastored church. In the early spring of 2018, God directed our family back to our home church. Our time overseas stretched us in many ways, but most directly, reinforced the pressing need for passionate biblical exposition, mentoring young Christians in the faith, and carefully articulating sound doctrine. We look forward to getting to meet you if God directs you to Anchor.

The Linders moved to Maryland in 2008 after Josh completed seminary in Florida. He served on church staff at Anchor before being led by the Lord to take a youth pastorate in Pennsylvania where they served for 11 years. In June of 2023, the Lord directed the Linders back to Anchor. Josh is involved in our regular preaching and teaching ministry, and he and his wife work with our teens, their families, and our seniors. The Linders have four children.

The Mitchells moved to Maryland in June of 2023 after working for several years in Christian education in south Florida.  Braxton is involved in the regular preaching and teaching ministries at Anchor and he and his wife are being mentored in all areas of church ministry and working primarily with our children’s ministries. The Mitchells have two children.
