Sermon 44: The Bronze Serpent: Numbers 21

At the end of 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, we find the new generation of Israelites beginning the process of entering the Promised Land on the wrong foot by attempting to put their circumstances under their control out of disobedience. In response, God deals a stern hand of judgment to set expectations regarding their obedience to Him. God wants us to live in obedience on His terms by understanding the difference between what it looks like to live the Christian life on our own terms versus living in obedience on God’s terms.
